What We Do
Led by a volunteer board of directors, Period OKC provides pads, tampons, liners, and menstrual cups to community partners which are directly helping others with food insecurity, housing needs, mental health treatment, substance abuse recovery, reentry following incarceration, or other aid services.
Period OKC is dedicated to serving all who menstruate which includes trans men, non-binary people, and women and girls. We use gender-neutral language in branding and we provide our support to all people in need.
Our Impact
Products Distributed in 2025
In 2025, Period OKC distributed over 528,000 pads, tampons, liners, and cups to partners in the OKC metro and beyond.
Through our partnerships with 64 organizations, Period OKC has created a wide reach to meet those in need. These partnerships include 19 educational institutions such as public, private, and charter schools from elementary to college level as well as night shelters, drug and alcohol rehab centers, aid facilities, food pantries, community free fridges, mutual aid fairs, and more.
Period OKC has provided over 1,300,000 menstrual products to Oklahomans in need
Your Donations Make a Difference.
Menstrual products are NOT covered by welfare programs (such as SNAP), meaning people get no financial help when purchasing products.
A $5 donation will provide as many as 50 pads or tampons for menstruators in need.
Teenagers Experiencing Period Poverty
Feedback From Our Network
“One of our members reported saving over $75 monthly for her household where four individuals menstruate.”
— Family support organization
“PeriodOKC products supplied through our Pantry allow families to reallocate those funds towards things like school supplies for their children, funds to pay for afterschool/summer programs, and other general life expenses. We've heard great feedback about having the PeriodOKC products in our pantry and look forward to a continued partnership!”
— Food pantry coordinator
“Our students are so appreciative of these supplies! It has opened conversations about period poverty in our area.”
— Local educator
